Tribal Resilience Program (Tribal/VISTA)
Out of the DOI/VISTA Team, the BIA funded the development of several VISTA sites in partnership with USDA’s Tribal College and Land Grant Universities program. These Native based VISTA projects have grown to include sites in partnership with the American Indian Higher Education Consortium and Southwest Conservation Corps Ancestral Lands Program. The mission of Tribal/VISTA is to support Tribal organizations and tribes in projects such as fostering food systems development, job training opportunities, and environmental stewardship in Tribal communities.
